This policy explains how studio JIBA ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects personal data when you use this website. We are a remote design studio serving clients worldwide. We treat your data to the standard set by the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), regardless of where you are located.

1. What this policy covers

This policy covers this marketing and portfolio website only. Data shared with us during a paid project is handled under the separate agreement we sign with that client.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us. When you use our contact form or sign up to our newsletter, we collect your name (if provided), your email address, and any message you choose to send.

Information collected automatically. Our website host records basic technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit, in standard server logs used for security and performance. We do not currently use tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies.

3. How we use your information

To reply to your enquiry and discuss working together (our legitimate interest, and to take steps before entering a contract).

To send updates you have asked for (with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by unsubscribing).

To keep the site secure, available, and working well (our legitimate interest).

4. Who processes your data

We use a small number of trusted service providers who process data on our instructions:

Formspree — receives and delivers contact-form submissions to us.

Our email and newsletter tools — store newsletter signups and send the emails you requested.

Our website host — serves the site and keeps short-term server logs.

We do not sell your personal data, and we never share it for third-party advertising.

5. International data transfers

Because we and our providers operate globally, your data may be stored or processed in countries other than your own, including outside the EU and UK. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) and apply GDPR-level protection wherever your data goes.

6. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details for as long as needed to respond and for a reasonable record of our correspondence. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. We delete or anonymise data when it is no longer needed.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your data, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email hello@studiojiba.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.

If you are in the EU or UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority. If you are a California resident, you can request access to or deletion of your data and confirm that we do not sell it.

8. Cookies

We do not currently set tracking or advertising cookies. If we add analytics or similar tools in future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where the law requires it.

9. Children

This site is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.

One thing to confirm: governing law and the data-controller location are set to the United States (State of Delaware), the standard for a US LLC. If you incorporate in a different state (for example Wyoming), tell us the state and we will update this and the matching line in the Terms.
